Sweaters and cardigans are delicate garments, with jacquard weaves, noble yarns and light embroidery. Follow some important tips to give them all the care and attention they need and keep them as soft as the first day.
1. Read
Rule number one: follow the instructions on the label. The symbols are intuitive, allowing you to recognize the most suitable type of wash for your garment at first glance; whether by hand or in the washing machine. Don't forget to pay close attention to the compositions.
2. Wash
For softer fabrics, remember to avoid aggressive spin cycles and always use a detergent for delicate garments. Don’t leave clothes to soak for too long to prevent them from losing colour.
3. Dry
Do not use hangers and do not expose your clothes to the sun. Spread your knit garments horizontally on the drying rack and cover them with a towel. Don’t iron them in direct contact, but steam them with the iron raised a little.
